To ensure every guest enjoys the full retreat experience at Finca Colibri Panama, we require a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights for reservations (3 nights during holidays).​ 

Reservations must be confirmed at least 30 days before check-in. 

This policy allows us to provide the highest quality of service and ensures guests have enough time to truly relax, immerse themselves in nature, and enjoy the personalized experiences we offer.​​

Finca Colibri Panama allows a maximum of 6 people at a time. For all-inclusive retreats (with additional services, such as SPA or wellness sessions, we are able to accomodate a maximum of 4 people)

Due to the intimate and carefully curated nature of our retreats, the following cancellation policy applies:

1. Guests may cancel within 48 hours of booking and receive a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 30 days prior to check-in.

2. Cancellations made 29 days or less before check-in are non-refundable, as retreat preparations, staffing, and personalized services are secured well in advance.

3. In exceptional circumstances, a credit toward a future retreat may be offered at our discretion.

Guests are required to use the outdoor shower to rinse off sand before entering the house or pool area after visiting the beach.

All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

No diving in the pool. Please use the pool responsibly—diving is strictly prohibited

Use of glass cups and bottles in and around the pool area is strictly prohibited.

Please, use the plastic glasses/cups provided for drinks.

Avoid wet clothes inside the house. Walking indoors with wet clothing makes the floors extremely slippery and unsafe.​

Our retreat is a sanctuary for rest, not for loud gatherings. Keep music at a respectful volume. No music after 10:00 p.m. Respect quiet time 10:00 PM - 7:00 A.M.

We lovingly welcome children aged ten (10) and older, an age when they can truly appreciate the magic of the mountains and the beauty of nature. For safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate younger children, as the property includes elevated areas, balconies, and open water features. Families traveling with a dedicated nanny to ensure constant supervision may contact us to request an exception.

Children must stay off the balconies. For their safety, children are not allowed on balconies at any time.

We love animals, but for the comfort and safety of all guests, pets cannot be accommodated at the property.

For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted inside the house. Please enjoy smoking in the designated outdoor area

Floors inside the house and balconies become slippery when wet. If you spill liquids, dry the wet area immediately to avoid accidents.

To help protect the plumbing and maintain the comfort of the home, please do not dispose of food in the kitchen sinks. All food scraps should be placed in the garbage can provided. Thank you for helping us care for the space.

Please do not place heavy items or stand on the kitchen island. The granite countertop is delicate and may crack under excessive weight.

To protect the plumbing and ensure proper operation of the bathroom facilities, please do not dispose of feminine towels, sanitary products, or wipes in the toilet. Kindly use the trash can provided. Thank you for your consideration and care.

No food or drinks are allowed in the bedrooms. This helps us maintain cleanliness and protect the linens from stains or insects.

If you accidentally spill wine, coffee, or any other beverage on the living room furniture, please notify the host immediately so we can clean it properly and avoid permanent damage.

Please remove your shoes before entering the house. To help keep our floors and carpets clean—especially after exploring the gardens, creek, or hiking trails—kindly leave soiled shoes on the outdoor bench and shoe rack provided. Your care helps maintain a fresh and comfortable space for everyone.

Use of fire pit or bonfires on the property is prohibited. Use the grill provided for outdoor cooking purposes.

• Finca Colibri Panama rests gently within the mountains, where nature is alive, untamed, and deeply beautiful. While the property is fenced, this is a natural environment, and wildlife such as snakes, spiders, and scorpions may occasionally make their way onto the grounds, as they do throughout the region.

• For your safety and to protect the delicate ecosystem that surrounds us, guests are asked not to touch or handle any plants or animals on the property. Please admire them from a respectful distance, allowing nature to remain balanced, serene, and undisturbed.

• Your awareness and care help preserve the harmony of this mountain sanctuary and ensure a safe, peaceful stay for everyone.

At Finca Colibri Panama, we are nestled in the heart of nature. Occasionally, the public power supply may be interrupted.

A manual generator is available to restore essential electricity (lights, refrigerator, water pump, and basic needs).

Please note: Air conditioning is not supported by the generator.

During an outage, the Host or Co-Host will activate the generator for you. Use electricity sparingly to conserve fuel.

Unplug sensitive electronics until power is stable.

If the power goes out, we invite you to open the windows and sliding doors. Let the natural breeze cool the rooms and enjoy the tranquil sounds of the creek, the songs of tropical birds, and the peaceful rhythm of the retreat.

These moments remind us that disconnection can also be a gift.

We love seeing our guests capture the beauty and serenity of their stay. The soft light over the valley, the reflections on the pool, the gentle visits from hummingbirds — these moments are made to be remembered.

You are welcome to take personal photos and short videos to treasure or share with friends and family. However, for the privacy and comfort of all guests, and to preserve the peaceful atmosphere of our retreat, commercial photography or filming is not permitted without prior written approval.

If you wish to collaborate, create content for a brand, or use our space for professional shoots, please contact us in advance. We are open to select partnerships that align with the spirit and elegance of Finca Colibri Panama.

A refundable damage authorization of USD $500 is required for all direct bookings at Finca Colibri Panama for retreats over 28 days. This authorization is collected prior to arrival and serves solely as a precautionary measure to cover any accidental damage beyond normal wear and tear. For Long-Term Rentals of 1 year or more, refer to the rental agreement terms.

In the absence of damages, the full amount will be released within 24 hours after check-out. For larger groups, extended stays, or customized retreat experiences, an adjusted authorization amount may apply and will be clearly communicated and confirmed in writing prior to reservation confirmation.

This approach allows us to preserve the integrity, beauty, and tranquility of the retreat while maintaining a guest experience grounded in mutual trust and care.

Guests are invited to enjoy every corner of this serene retreat—from the infinity pool that reflects the sky, to the outdoor kitchen and terrace where evenings glow at sunset, and the garden paths leading to the gentle creek. Each space is thoughtfully designed to inspire connection, relaxation, and a sense of quiet renewal.

Finca Colibri Panama includes the host’s private residence, located in a separate building on the opposite side of the creek, within the same property.

The Exclusive Mountain Retreat listing provides private access to both the upper and lower levels of the main home. The host’s residence is fully independent, with a separate entrance and no shared indoor living areas. Guest privacy is always respected.

Guests are not allowed to bring firearms to the property.

​

For safety, the host legally owns a firearm that is securely stored and locked inside the host’s private tiny house, located on the opposite side of the creek from the guest accommodations.

​

Guests do not have access to the tiny house at any time, and the firearm is never present in guest areas.
